“Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers” — Harry S. Truman

When I embarked on my mission of helping companies grow their Sales and Profits by using data I decided to educate myself about the world of Sales from the best. I started to read and listen to the most popular books about Sales.

Most Sales related books are about the Art of Selling — strategy, channels, proposition, how to sell. Some of them touch on the importance of data although they don’t usually go into too much detail. I plan to fill that gap with my upcoming book which will focus primarily on the Science of Sales. However I recognise the importance of the Art of Selling without it there is no profit, with no profit there’s no data.

Below are the best sales books I’ve read or listened to. I tend to listen more these days. I particularly like to listen to Grant Cardone who narrates his own books — listening to him and his energy really makes the messages stick and makes me highly inspired and motivated.

When I consume books I look for gold nuggets. Even if I get just a single great insight that transforms my perception, expands my awareness or crushes some of my limiting beliefs I consider the book highly valuable.

I focus on the value the insights help me generate. The beauty of books is that for each person different insights stick and sometimes we can re-read the same book several times and discover new insights and value every time.

Here’s my top list:

“The more you learn the more you earn” — Warren Buffet

Aside of the sales books, here are some of my favourite business books:

Have I missed a Sales or Business book that transformed your life? Please share it with me — I would love to read it.
